Proposal details

This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 5231-7KGH5L for Cotton Inc., a ready-mix concrete plant located at 2125 Fruitbelt Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

This application is for the addition of a new trommel to assist in Facility processes, as well as changing the materials stored in the on-site silos from fly ash to Portland Cement. The sources at the facility include truck loading, soil screening, welding, radiant comfort heaters, HVAC units, and dust collectors.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • particulate matter
  • calcium carbonate
  • hexavalent chromium
  • Portland chemicals cement
  • slag
  • nitrogen oxides, and
  • noise
