Proposal details
This proposal is for an amendment to the ECA 6991-BRJQVM to upgrade the sewage systems servicing Lactalis' dairy products manufacturing plant located at 490 Gordon Street, in Winchester, Township of North Dundas, United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario.
Domestic sewage at the manufacturing plant is segregated and discharged separately to the Municipal treatment plant. Treated effluent from the works discharges to the Annable Drain, which flows through the Lactalis property.
The proposed rated capacity increase for the Waste Water Treatment Plant to 2,400 cubic metres per day, or 876,000 cubic metres per year, is meant to be accommodated through a combination of completed wastewater treatment upgrades, and increased discharge to the Annable Drain within existing ECA restrictions for effluent quality and dilution rates.
