Thank you for the opportunity to provide input to the Proposed Amendment to the Ministry’s Zoning Order, Ontario Regulation 482/73.
The Region has a concern that insufficient private water and wastewater capacity may lead to pressure in the future for the unplanned extension of Halton Region urban service to accommodate the proposed redevelopment. We understand that this site is connected to this small drinking water system that is registered with the MECP under O.Reg. 170/03. Further information would be needed to understand if the proposed would impact these agreements. In addition to servicing, the Region may have concerns related to potential impact on Tremaine Road, which is a regional road. However, due to the lack of information we cannot comment at this time as to whether the proposed change in use would need to be supported by a Traffic Brief or Transportation Impact Study (depending on the increase in intensity). We would like an opportunity to review more detailed information to make that determination and if required, the Region would like to review any transportation related studies.
We would be pleased to set up a meeting to discuss any aspect of our submission at your convenience.
