This bill is deeply upsetting, it feels like a bypass for many regulations that keep our land safe, and respect our first nations agreements. I am terribly upset, that this government continues to bypass reasonable regulations and boundaries that protect Ontario’s future. For example, this proposal is allowing them to do their own audits for viability of companies and the projects, but we’ve clearly seen with the spa at Ontario Place, that no one is doing this background research at any level, at least in that position there was an oversight, this is essentially eliminating that oversight now. Given the recent headlines of corruption in the government with the slush fund being handed out to Ford’s donors instead of creating new jobs, why are we allowing even less oversight bill five is a disaster? This bill is purely an excercise in greed.
