Typical Ford government B.S. Exempting forestry and particularly mining, early mining or not, is utterly a sick sham. There is no protection that I've seen in Northwestern Ontario - it's a free-for-all here. I note the struggle First Nation leaders throughout Ontario have with rabid prospecting while ignoring First Nation private properties. As for protecting Canada's iconic boreal caribou, 'Minister' David Piccini, supposedly in charge of Ontario's environment, conservation and parks, promised in March 2023 that $29 million would be spent to protect and preserve caribou that have come to symbolize northern forests across the nation. This was stated while at Lakehead University's campus in Thunder Bay, Ont. We NEVER hear what has actually been done, if anything at all.
Never in my long lifetime have I experienced such a vile and careless provincial government.
