None of these changes make any sense for protecting Ontario's natural beauty. The only thing they are aiming to do is weaken protections to help developers and builders. As someone from the construction industry I take great pride and being environmentally conscious and respecting the habitat that we reside in for the animals that live here as well. Building a new highway is not the proper way to move forward as we could be investing that money in public transport such as high speed rail to truly accomodate all Ontarians and not just rich builders and developers along the proposed 413 highway to save minimal time for anyone. Stop trampling in our beautiful wildlife and nature and do what the MEO is supposed to do and protect it. These changes are a joke and only meant to further enable developers. Home building is important but it needs to be balanced with caring for our beautiful province. There is no need to create further sprawl when we have plenty of room to density all over the province. Shame for this attempted weakening of protections for specials at risk in lieu of builder convenience.
