To make such changes to reduce administrative burden is essentially relieving yourselves of any accountability or responsibility. This is your responsibility and you cannot just walk away from it.

Without any oversight trappers can and will do whatever they please. How will anybody know if they are following the humane trapping laws? Expanding the methods of trapping, like allowing the use of pistols at night is pure negligence. There is no shortage of animals being killed. Why would there be a need to expand on the methods for killing of more animals?

Every industry has to report to it's respective Ministry. Allowing fur dealers to sell indiscriminately, without annual reporting, is negligence on the government's part. This is your duty, your obligation to the public, to our land and country.

There are not facts to back up the claims made by the ERO. The damage to the environment, the ecosystems, and the wildlife are not being expressed accurately.
