We nearly lost a dog in a trap near our farm. We saw first hand the horrible pain and fear caused by the trap. There is very little to be gained financially from trapping and a terrible price to be paid in wild and even pet animal suffering. Also trapping beavers is rediculous!

Beavers are absolutely important to creating wetlands, supporting biodiversity, and regulating water systems. We must have policies to safeguard habitats on Crown and private lands from trapping beavers. It's really a no-brainer given the very dry summers we are experiencing this year and the past few years. We NEED beavers!
