This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval no. 4471-ABUQXZ to upgrade non-municipal subsurface disposal works servicing the seasonally operated by Bigwin Island Golf Club, in the Township of Lake of Bays, for the transmission, treatment and disposal of domestic sewage from the clubhouse located at 1137 Old Highway 117, in Baysville, Township of Muskoka, Ontario.
The proposed amendment includes the expansion of the current balancing capacity by including an additional balancing chamber (30,000 litres). This chamber will gravity feed into the existing 22750-litre balancing chamber. The timing and function of the existing components of the system will not change.
The proposed change is designed to better deal with large capacity events and even the flow from those activities through the week when lower activity is happening at the facility.
