We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Goodwill Industries for the use and operation of a waste processing site in London, Ontario to accept residual donation materials from collection boxes and store locations that have not been sold, and to allow for further sorting and material recovery for recycling opportunities.

The ministry issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Maple Leaf Marinas Holdings GP Inc. for upgrades to the existing sewage works for the treatment and subsurface disposal of domestic sewage, serving the existing Wye Heritage Marina located in the Township of Tay, County of Simcoe, Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 0477-BJSNFB has been issued to KNL Development Inc. on January 6, 2020 for construction dewatering purposes related to the Kanata Lakes residential development phases 7-9, located in Ottawa, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 12, 2029.

Amendments have been made to O. Reg. 95/05 Classes of Consumers and Determination of Rates to enable Regulated Price Plan (RPP) customers who pay Time-of-Use (TOU) rates to choose instead to pay tiered rates as of November 1, 2020.

The Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has issued an overall benefit permit to Chrisview Custom Homes Ltd. to construct a parking lot that will impact Blue Ash trees, which is a species at risk. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.
