Proposal details
This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 5377-9CXPXG to permit modifications to an existing leachate treatment and discharge system for an existing woodwaste landfill, owned and operated by Mansteel New Liskeard Inc., located in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.
The proposed leachate management system is for seasonal operation for 65,000 litres per day, consisting of two raw leachate pumping stations, and existing settling pond 1, modifications to the existing settling pond 2, a new/retrofited pond 3, for aeration treatment, a Waterloo Biofilter nitrifying biofilter treatment systems, and discharge to a shallow infiltration trench/header. A contingency storage pond 4, and maintenance of the existing approved spray irrigation system are also included.
