An Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) has been granted to Metso Outotec Canada Inc. for the operation of one mobile recycling equipment to be used throughout the Province of Ontario.

An amended the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) has been issued to St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada) operating as CBM Ready Mix. This approval is to amend the existing ECA No. 5683-B3GJWZ for a ready-mix concrete batching facility located in the Town of Whitby, Ontario.

Application 60-C-219066 was approved on December 22, 2021 subject to conditions. The last date of appeal under the Planning Act is January 11, 2022.

A decision was made to proceed with amending the Mining Act to support the recovery of minerals at current operating, closing or abandoned mines sites in Ontario through reprocessing of minerals, including critical minerals. Bill 13 contained amendments to the Mining Act in Schedule 12 and received Royal Assent on Thursday December 2, 2021. 

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for Enwave Energy Corporation for dewatering purposes. Water will be taken for the long term drainage of the East Bayfront Deep Rock Utility Tunnel, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 6062-C9RQRV was issued on December 20, 2021.

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Erik Gerard Daly for subsurface sewage disposal works to service a three bedroom cottage located at 998 10th Road West, Conestogo Lake, Township of Mapleton, County of Wellington.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 7482-C8KLEJ on December 16, 2021 which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 3430-B6PL7E, 0207-B6PPRR, 3178-B6YKBU and 1472-B6YQUN for Enbridge Pipelines Inc., located in United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 31, 2031.

James Dick Construction Limited was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit below water in the Town of Caledon.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) has been issued to Imperial Oil Limited for a site located in Timmins, Ontario. The facility will undertake groundwater remediation activities.
