What happens if a registered project does not work?
Risks to a project not working include variety of climate change impacts; inappropriate minimum design, operation and maintenance requirements; an inadequate site-specific technical assessment.
My five decades of environmental assessment experience encountered many unexpected infrastructure projects that did not work as planned. Adjustments were costly, had significant operational consequences and needed to engage stakeholders.
A Change Management Plan is invaluable to accommodating adjustments. I provide a link summarizing such a Plan.
