We must keep Safeguards on Aggregate Projects!
Ontario’s proposed updates to aggregate policies are removing key protections for groundwater, wetlands, and community oversight.
Without clear safety triggers, tiered assessments, and public consultation, communities face higher risks of environmental harm and less accountability from operators.
We are saying now we want and need to ENSURE THAT OUR WATER, OUR HEALTH AND OUR FUTURE ARE FULLY PROTECTED. AGGREGATE PROJECTS DO HAVE HEALTH RISKS TO HUMANS AND TO OUR WATER. WE NEED TO KEEP SAFEGUARDS.
