As a camper within the Shebandowan Lake Management Plan restricted area order, I do not think this variance should be allowed as it will inevitably result in increased nutrient loading into the lake. This location will likely cause a significant impact to the native lake trout population that the Shebandowan Lake Management Plan was implemented to protect. I believe that this property was purchased by the owner relatively recently (after the plan was implemented), and that they knew the restrictions on further development. Regardless, they should not be allowed to circumvent the regulations and protections.
