The Government of Ontario…

The Government of Ontario under Doug Ford has a disastrous record on the environment. Now they are doubling down on that record and overriding Indigenous rights with this Bill.
Neither the people of Ontario nor First Nations will benefit from creating Special Economic Zones, we will only pay the price for the environmental cleanup after the resources have been extracted.
The government must behave responsibly and have thorough environmental assessments and approval from impacted communities, particularly First Nations before approving projects.
Stop trying to cut corners for the benefit of companies to the detriment of the people of Ontario.
