Bill 5 is nothing short of a power grab and a REAL threat to any chance we have of saving our world for future generations. That may sound extreme but it truly is not. The criteria for Special Economic Zones negates any substantial environmental studies completed by professionals and any comprehensive consultation with the local public. This is not about putting roofs over people's heads, it's about putting money in the pockets of large corporations. Do NOT allow this to move forward in any way. If you do, at LEAST listen to the environmentalists and other professional organizations and include stringent controls.
