I believe immediate action needs to be done to create safe passage down stream for mature Eels and up stream passage for immature eels. If this can not be provided fairly soon, I am afraid we will get below a level recovery making it more difficult rebuild the population. I appreciate that some action is being done. I hope that juvenile Eel transfers above dams can be continued.
