The Municipal Engineers Association should not solely be responsible or regulate the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. This group does not reflect or speak on behalf of common stakeholders in the EA process, nor do they necessarily have all of the skills or expertise to complete an EA. Engineers have a vested interest to protect this responsibilty and inflate their value to this process which leads to unnecessary costs to this process.
