1. Loyalist Township is close to issuing their notice of completion for the
Infrastructure Masterplan that follows the current MCEA process. The new EA
process should include a transition provision that allows for projects approved
under the current MCEA to be transitioned to the new approval process.
2. With more projects becoming exempt, the Township would like to hear feedback
that the MECP received from Indigenous communities on what types of projects
they would like to be consulted on. The Township asks that the MECP provides
clear guidance on Indigenous consultation for projects outside of the MPAP that
would have been previously included in the MCEA process, as well as clear
consultation expectations for projects under the MPAP.
