Archaeological surveys are crucial to the preservation of indigenous artifacts and history, to forgo them entirely would be egregiously irresponsible and frankly abhorrent. I urge the Government of Canada to reconsider this notion, to continue conducting these surveys, and in fact to introduce more stringent and rigorous protocols to protect indigenous history.
