I cannot express how bad an idea it is to scrap the need to perform archeological assessments for construction. It would save a little money and time, but it would cost us all dearly to destroy this land's history, double so for the already marginalized indigenous groups who's history has already been bulldozed by Canada's genocide against them. Even entertaining this shows a callous disregard that I cannot and will not support.
