When I heard about this story I believed that I'd have to speak up for American Eel populations in Ontario that have decreased by 99% in recent years. I believe that the government should not postpone their plans and strategies to save the American Eel from extinction in these areas, knowing that they will go extinct before they can put them into effect, by postponing their plan 3 more years, because the American Eel population won't endure that long for any of those strategies to be applicable.
