The Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) and its members are generally supportive of the proposal to "streamline permissions for certain electricity system projects to get infrastructure projects underway faster, while maintaining environmental protections."

In addition, we encourage the Ministry to develop and adopt a similar approach to other key Environmental Permits and Approvals to further reduce burden for the clean electricity sector and help facilitate the development and continued operations of clean electricity infrastructure, including wind energy, solar energy and energy storage.
