I continue to be disappointed in Ford and his government. There is no appreciation for anything except money generally found through the use of increased power.

The following are not my words but they do reflect how I see the 'Special Economic Zones'.

The Special Economic Zones framework leaves Ontario air, land, and water at the mercy of political discretion — not the law.

The Ford government’s plan benefits hand-picked “trusted proponents”, while putting Ontarians’ health, safety, and democracy at risk.

I am calling on the government to strengthen — not weaken — Ontario’s environmental safeguards. And to do this, consultation with Indigenous groups is a requirement.
