The Special Economic Zones…

The Special Economic Zones are NOT in Ontario’s best interest. They leave our province, our water, our air, and our land at INCREASED risk, and they take away protections for our health, our safety, and our DEMOCRACY. This is not the U.S. -- it's Canada. No government has the moral right to weakening environmental safeguards when we're already in a climate and environmental crisis, and Ontarians and Canadians want their rights respected, not trampled on, as this Bill does. We need to protect our wild places and our wild animals, because weve already destroyed so much of their habitat, and this bill does just the opposite. We need to ensure we can speak up to protect our air and water for future generations. And we cannot allow one person or cabinet to make decisions that benefit business but leave humans and non-human animals out of the picture. Kill the Bill.
