It is paramount that we protect the environment and our democracy. This bill attacks both.

It reduces the role of my elected representative and consolidates power in a minister's hands. We vote for our regional representatives, not Premier... and definitely not for a specific minister. With liberal democracies on the decline throughout the world, it is even more important that we ensure the strength of ours. If things can't get approval fast enough... fix that system, don't bypass it.

On the environmental front - I shouldn't have to even comment on this, it is so obvious that the world is burning and we are ALL responsible for putting out the fire. All governments seem to be happy to spend on disaster recovery and even disaster prevention measures (flood preventions, fire prevention etc.) - and that's to say nothing of the social spending required as climate change puts extreme pressure on food supplies. But if we had spent a fraction of this money on fighting climate change 30 years ago, we wouldn't have these issues.

Invest in building our green industries. Grow our economy with sustainable practices and in the sustainability industry.

Stop worrying about what is good for YOU and your party and stary worrying about what is best for the province.
