The provincial government…

The provincial government needs to strengthen Ontario's environmental safeguards. The Special Economic Zones Act (Bill 5) does not align with the Ontario in which I want to live and of which I want to be proud. We must honour Indigenous knowledge and rights by regularly and meaningfully consulting with Indigenous peoples, who have much to teach us about creating and maintaining healthy environments for all inhabitants of Ontario. This SEZ framework puts our health, safety, environment and democracy at risk. Please do NOT let the SEZ proposal go forward.
