I ask that you repeal Bill 5.

My reasons: The creation of Special Economic Zones creates a dangerous precedent. It allows a government to give the go-ahead to any person or business to proceed with any project exempt from any and all laws without an environmental assessment or the input of local citizens and local government.

As a result, Billl 5 weakens protections for endangered species and critical habitats, reduces ecological oversight, bypasses environmental assessments and municipal control, weakens local democracy, and undermines Indigenous rights.
