Yes to housing, but only as long as natural, untouched green areas and wetlands are left as they are.
We can find solutions for housing- using already cleared land, building multiple unit housing, converting now empty buildings to housing units.
But it is a sure thing that humans are not inclined to re-establish natural spaces once they are drained or transformed.
It may be easier for builders just to steamroller nature. But then it is up to the rest of us to be better stewards of the land and prevent that from happening, keeping in mind that we did not inherit the land, we are borrowing it from our descendants.
