Hamilton Water is seeking clarification on how the proposed exemptions from environmental permission requirements for certain low-risk sewage works identified here would differ from projects that are already pre-approved under Sanitary or Stormwater CLI-ECAs for municipalities. Is the MECP considering incorporating these exemptions into the existing municipal CLI-ECAs?
In addition, could further clarification be provided with the word “similar dimensions” under section 1. "Proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 525/98 (Approval Exemptions) under the Ontario Water Resources Act (OWRA)"? Maybe a range of capacity changes like within 10% of the existing cross section etc.
