Being a term agent for many years, is now a difficult permit to acquire. Trappers are not allowed to maintain road access to and on their line. There are roads that access public interest, like falls, canoe routes and simply used as emergency routes for camping, fishing, etc, are not allowed to be maintained. Even though the land is Crown, we are told that everyone's concerns need to be addressed first. Is Tax payers infrastructure not a concern? Then it is stated that the head trapper has to be considered. The argument is simple, if you want to take care of the issues on your line, then place your name on the nuisance list. The lack of ability to rectify issues caused by beavers to protect roads and access to public interests should not be so difficult. If there was a option for Trappers to rectify issues on roads, it would make things easier for everyone. Thank you for your opportunity to be able to communicate.
