I disagree with all of these changes. Beavers are a keystone species that create wetlands, support biodiversity, and regulate water systems.
Policies should safeguard beavers' habitat on crown and private lands from increased and indiscriminate trapping, especially during the closed season.
There needs to be strong reporting and regulatory oversight to ensure that trapping practices comply with accepted scientific standards and prioritize animal welfare.
