I want to address the ongoing support for hunting and trapping in Canada, particularly in Ontario. While these practices hold historical significance for some, they no longer serve a practical purpose for the majority of Canadians. As society evolves, it’s essential to consider alternative income sources for those involved in these activities.
Additionally, the perfume industry is facing significant challenges. With increasing sensitivity to scents, many workplaces are banning fragrances. Brands are adapting by turning to biotechnology and upcycling, which highlights a shift towards sustainability. Given this context, it’s worth reconsidering the support for industries that may not align with modern values and consumer preferences.
I believe it’s crucial to implement stricter regulations for hunters and trappers to ensure accountability. The proposed regulations seem to provide too much leeway, which could exacerbate existing issues. Instead, we should focus on increasing enforcement by hiring more officers to address illegal activities effectively.
