The Ontario government is destroying environmental mitigations and/or protections to Ontario's ecosystems and natural resources by prioritizing development and developers. These proposed changes to streamline municipal high-risk projects, along with other recent changes including Bill 23 and modifications to Ontario’s Endangered Species Act have provided loopholes for developers to expedite development. These modifications are intended to bypass knowledgeable experts that can help safeguard our resources while still promoting sustainable development, such as Conservation Authorities.
