I am very concerned about the proposed changes to Municipal Act. Yet another case of lowering environmental requirements to expediate development. This approach will lead to a more degraded environment and potential future problems when environmental impact and mitigation is not a requirement for large projects like municipal roads and private infrastructure projects.

I note the inconsistency with New Sewage Treatment Plants. First the documents states that these will be subject to new regulations but new private sector sewage treatment plants will not.

I urge you not to make these changes. It is not a good idea to expediate housing then disregard environmental considerations. This will lead to unlivable communities which is not the Canadian Way.
