I don't agree with the easing of any of the regulations surrounding trapping or fur-farming. Both of these activities add very little to the economy in Ontario and will only lead to damage and destruction of our already fragile ecosystems if allowed to expand or are not monitored properly. Both of these industries are inherently cruel and totally unnecessary. A lot of European countries have banned both practices and so do not need to worry about the administrative costs of monitoring them. I think Ontario should lead the charge to totally ban them as well here in Canada. The majority of people (excluding indigenous) don't rely on the income from these activities and most do it to make a little extra money on the side or as a hobby. The environmental damage is not worth allowing these practices to continue any longer.
