I find this proposal is extremely disturbing.

I’m an 18 year old student living in Toronto Ontario who is studying to become an archaeologist. My passion is learning about and preserving the beautiful history of this province, but with this new proposal I see my future threatened.

The lack of consideration for the preservation of both existing and undiscovered historical and archaeological sites shows an incredible lack of respect for our province’s wonderful history.

I especially mourn the needless loss of indigenous history, a people who have been continually oppressed and erased from the country, and continue to be hurt from government officials (like those who have made this proposal) to this day.

This proposal ruins the livelihood of hundreds, destroys the value of our province, and resumes the genocide of indigenous people. Shame on anyone supporting is proposition.
