To whom this may concern,

I am making this comment to voice my concerns regarding the recent proposal to revoke the Municipal Class EA and Private Sector Developers Regulation. I find this to be deeply concerning as the proposed model for the "streamlined EA regulation" would be making changes that would result in reduced consultation with First Nations on development projects while leaving little consideration for the Treaty rights of Indigenous communities. I strongly advise that the Environmental Assessment legislation and regulations needs to be amended to be consistent with the values represented in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (2007).
