It is admirable that “red tape” and redundancy are being reduced. However, such effort is usually at the request of someone that will benefit directly. In this case I believe it is the aggregate industry. This is okay if the public is protected.

Due to the negative impact of all Aggregate industry activities on the Environment, especially on the quality and quantity of surface and ground water, there should be more rigorous regulations and an increase in public notifications and participation in the application process.
