These environmental changes are dangerous not only to the environment but also against any efforts of reconciliation with indigenous people because this goes against the truth and reconciliation commission's calls to action. It will have legal implications for indigenous-crown litigation and it will not go in favour of the crown. Therefore this program will ultimately cost Canadians more money and will damage the social landscape of Ontario.
