I am a concerned  canadian who cares about the state of the american eel in  Ontario. i am pleading with this government to make effective change to help the eels of ontario.

While I agree with all the comments and statements below (borrowed from CWF), I'd like to preface by saying I was astounded to learn that fewer than 100 eels returned to Lake Ontario last year, and action is still purportedly three years in the works. Three years?

Please consider including statements that outline immediate actions in the proposed response statement to protect the American Eel.

Please protect the American Eel now.  It is important to the wild life of our Great Lakes. I realize that MNR is not in receipt of great funding from the Ontario government.
