There is need for immediate protection for the American Eels, not tying up action with further planning and studies.  The drastically low count is extremely troubling.  Put into action the safety measures for these eels around power dams and other obstacles.

The American Eel population has declined by more than 99 per cent in Ontario.  They need immediate protection under the Endangered Species Act.  We cannot let them go extinct!
