The American eel plays an important role in Canada's aquatic biodiversity. It has the greatest range of any fish species in North America and has supported major commercial, recreational, and Aboriginal fisheries.

Here’s hopeing this helps the eels make it past dams:

  Revise Action 7 to require specific and immediate reductions in the mortality of adult eels as they migrate through hydropower facilities.

 Why does it take the government so long to implement something so critical. This animal may not be around by the time you implement, like so many of your other policies for animal rights. The Government is very lax in this area.
