Laws around trapping need to prioritize animal welfare and should be informed by current, peer-reviewed science. We have seen the severe damage to populations that come with increased trapping.

I am absolutely opposed to the changes being suggested/considered regarding the management of this process. There is no proof that the changes you propose are transparent or without serious consequence (cruelty) to the affected animals.
