Beavers are a keystone species that create valuable wetlands, support biodiversity and regulate water systems. In that way they help to control forest fires. Any small financial gains for the fur traders should never come at the expense of those advantages. Read more

Do not agree. Laws around trapping need to prioritize animal welfare and should be informed by current, peer-reviewed science. We have seen the severe damage to populations that come with increased trapping. animal protection, public safety, or ecological health should take priority. Read more

I am absolutely opposed to the changes being suggested/considered regarding the management of this process. There is no proof that the changes you propose are transparent or without serious consequence (cruelty) to the affected animals. Read more
