Please take into account removing SEZ will significantly damage the lives of hundreds of thousands of species at risk. Species that once they are gone, cannot be brought back. My children deserve to enjoy the same Ontario and Canada that I did growing up.

Creating these zones is nothing but a way to bypass the democratic rights of the people of Ontario, to allow yourself to turn a blind eye to indigenous rights, and to eradicate environmental protections that keep our land, our watersheds (and your people!) healthy. Read more

When will this government stop jeopardizing critical environmental protection for profit? If this is truly about economics, let us be honest. Economic policy has got to reflect environmental protection. The economy fluctuates, the environment and key components do not. Read more

I strongly object to this proposal as a direct attack on democracy in Ontario. The concept of "Permit by Registration" removes the long-held guarantee that property holders neighbouring proposed projects will have an opportunity to be heard. Read more

Overall, I do not support the creation of Special Economic Zones as they ignore health and safety regulations, environmental protection laws and defy public trust. The Special Economic Zone Act is focussed on economic benefits at the expense of the environment. Read more

I think it's an absolute disgrace to run roughshod over Ontarios natural heritage. You people are destroying the future quality of life in this province. Where are people supposed to get their vegetables China? And going for a walk in the woods with the kids. Forget about it. Shameful.
