I disagree that there is no obligation to post this notice on the environmental registry. In Greenpeace Canada (2471256 CANADA INC.) v. Minister of the Environment it referred to 30 (1) of the Environmental Bill of Rights and ruled that an election is not equivalent to public consultation. Read more

I'm very concerned that a law that allows for a government ignoring widespread protest and concern about a topic infringes democratic Charter rights. It should require more than presumed consent for an issue that was never campaigned on. Read more
